It is with great pleasure that I
introduce myself to the Vancouver/Camas Southwest Washington area.
I am originally from the East coast, born in Baltimore, Maryland. I
received my Bachelor of Arts Degree at Hood College in Frederick,
Maryland. In 1991, I received my Doctor of Medical Dentistry from
Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. I continued my studies in
Michigan after matching to a residency program in which I
specialized in pediatric dentistry. The Children’s Hospital of
Michigan is one of the country’s leading hospitals with many
pediatric specialties that contribute to the development and
rehabilitation of cleft palate infants. During my senior year as
Chief Resident, I completed my pediatric dentistry program by
winning first place in the National Graduate Research Competition,
with a presentation of my work with cleft palate infants.
In 1994, I was recruited to the Portland area by a large managed
care group for whom I have worked for the past eight years.
In 1999, I was fortunate enough to adopt an eleven-month old darling
little girl whom I named ‘Breck Lauren Butler.’ We live in Gresham,
along with our two dogs, Graham and Hansel. During my leisure time,
I enjoy playing tennis, gardening, quilting, and traveling. I most
recently discovered horseback riding with my daughter, an avid horse
lover, and together, we plan many equestrian adventures.
I am Board Certified in pediatric dentistry and am licensed for
pediatric dentistry in both Washington and Oregon. I am also a
member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the
Washington Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, as well as an active
on-staff member at Legacy Emanuel Children’s Hospital in Portland.
I am happy that you have chosen my clinic for your child’s needs and
I look forward to serving you, your family, and the community in the
years to come.
Pamela D. Butler, D.M.D.
